The most dilemmatic moment I have faced

I have always been an absent-minded person. Whenever people warn me about something that i need to be careful of, I always ignore it. The tragedy came one time, and i could never forget it, the most dilemmatic  moment i have faced.
That day, i carried my cellphone to the toilet as usual, it's a new one, and I bring it everywhere I go.
My mom always warns me of not putting the cellphone in the pocket, it might fall out; however i never listen to her. I went into the toilet, do the "initial steps" in the bathroom. Just about the moment i was going to squat down. And i was thinking in my mind: "oh! My cellphone is in my pocket!" , the tragedy happened. I heard the sound of splash beneath me. I wasn't that panic at the moment because i dropped the money in the toilet for a couple times, it was no big deal to me. But when i looked down, and felt the pocket lightened, I knew I'm in trouble. I started screaming. Oh my god! It's my cellphone sinking! It's new! It's not waterproof! I need to save it! Here comes the dilemma, the water was kind of dirty, although i haven't done the "toilet action". What if the person went into this toilet was doing the "big deal", what if she had a diarrhea? God, I can't stop imagining how dirty is the toilet. But that is my cellphone inside. The more time i spend to think about picking it up or not, the less chance will it  be still usable.
I've made up my mind, i closed my eyes, and put my hand into the cold water. My hands were shaking, trying to reach my cellphone. I can feel the cool and wet touching of the water, that feeling went through my finger tip to my wrist. How can the toilet be so deep? As i reached my cellphone, i tried to stress my fingers to grab it, but it slipped. Almost all of the swear words came into my mind, I condemned myself of doing this stupid thing. I tried again, holding it tight in my hand.
The screen was black, i think it has shut down because of the water. I walked to the faucet, wondering if i should wash my hand, and also wash my cellphone. It's will be wet again! But it's dirty! "Nah!Screw it! It's wet already and it will work if it's not broken, I'm going to wash it anyway!" That is what i was thinking. So i washed it and i washed my hands. Totally forgot the main purpose that caused this tragedy. I guess my urine has evaporated when the cellphone dropped.
I went out of the bathroom, and saw my friends playing with their cellphone, and told me "Hey! I heard someone screaming in the toilet, did you heard that?" "Um, yes...?" I showed them my cellphone after taking a nice shower, and they all started laughing at me, ask if I'm going to call my mom with it. What a beautiful day with my awesome friends!
My cellphone, of course, is destined to be a sleeping beauty for the rest of it's life. And I will never ever bring a cellphone with me into the bathroom again, since this experience is so remarkable.

Free writing: Gone Girl( movie review)

Before the terrible mid-term week, i went to watch a movie called "The Gone Girl".
It's so popular and great a movie that everyone who has seen it recommended me to go watch it.
The movie started with Nick, the husband, sitting in the bar and got a call from his neighbor, and he went home, found out that his wife Amy was gone. All of these happened on their fifth anniversary day.
Nick then called the police, and Amy's parents found a volunteering group to search for their beloved, talented daughter.
At first the was told in the third person perspective, but then it turned to the first person narrative, which is Amy telling the truth that she detested her husband so much that she set up a  scheme to make everyone thinks that she was murdered by her husband. Amy's plan was so perfect that it sent a  shudder through me. I almost believed that Nick really killed her. I don't want to tell more details of the movie! Haha! But the crazy mind of Amy really astonished me and gave me goosebumps. She was acting in front of everyone! And almost everyone was tricked by her.
I think what's really fascinating about the movie was that, among most victims or  minorities in the stories were females. But in the Gone girl, the victim was male. This story holds a concept that "Truth are tend to be more deeper than what we saw outside." Just like Amy's ex-boyfriend was being accused of raping her, but those were all her schemes.
In my opinion, it's a very feminist mainstream movie, because it showed that nowadays society controls women and rforce them into certain roles, and have to obey what their husbands say. Amy in this movie, destroyed her husband's life, she's symbolically taking back power for women.
Amy wants to take control of man. She asks Nick to wear the tie she bought for him. In the reality, women tend be on the weak side, so Amy in the story, she took advantage of this, and made people to believe that her husband was the murderer.
I think it is a very good movie, because I am a very absent-minded person, so I think I can watch this movie for a lot of times!

What's the most important skill that a person should learn in the 21st century (1)

In this technology-booming century, people have access to almost everything they want, almost every resources were dogged out. The rich people get whatever they want, but as for the poverty-stricken areas, there are still people lack of what they need to survive. Therefore, the most important skill i think people should learn in the 21st century is knowing how to give.
I'm glad that i'm living a decent life, but whenever i see the reports about people starving in the war areas and Africa, i feel really sad for them. What is so ironic is that, more and more restaurant companies are rising, and offering people the so-called "Buffet". People spend a great deal of money, making reservations to taste it and eat as much as they could just to make themselves feel better about the money they've paid the restaurant. But here comes my question, why are they wasting so much money and so much food that they can't actually digest? Lots of people in the other hemisphere of this earth needs them, we can help them in a very easy way if we actually care about them. That makes the world better.
Everyone can make the world a little bit different because of themselves, if we are willing to give. Blood-donating is also a good way to help. Patients may be in desperate need for blood if they were seriously injured. Just a minute that we tolerate the needle get into our skin, we may change a person's life. We receive appreciations, smiles, respects, and even happiness. Knowing how to give is not a shameful thing to do, we should feel glad about having the extra resources to help others. Iphones, laptops, fancy shoes we purchase are no better than a person's life becoming better because of you. The great accomplishment will make you feel so unforgettable just to hear "Thank you" from people in need

I've been dreaming of studying in Taipei since junior high school. Taipei, the booming city, full of fancy restaurants, fabulous shopping malls and convenient transportation.
Now,studying in Soochow University finally fulfilled my dream. I was actually born in Taipei, but i feel so much like an outsider when walking along DongQu. I see pretty girls in fashion outfits, beautiful makeup, i admire them. I admire their stunning faces, gorgeous hair, nice body shape. But somehow, the swift and indifferent arrogance of their look scared me. Is it because of their Eye-liner? No! i don't think so! Is it because of the bad mood they're in?Maybe! But how come everyone feels unhappy in this fancy city? I wonder why, or maybe i'll become one of them when i get used to dwell in Taipei?
Lots of foreigners have good comments on Taiwan, they say we are passionate people, willing to help, friendly to others. But i just feel like i saw the snobbish side of people.
When u go shopping, u will feel the different attitude that the clerk is acting toward you. If you are in a Gucci Bag, the oily shop assistant will smile at you as if you were her besties, and recommend you the clothes with her sweetest voice. But! If u only wear a T-shirt and a backpack, no one will look at u, even if you got a no limit credit card in your jeans. Why? it's because they can't see it. People nowadays are used to judge people from their appearance. That's why young people are dressing in Brands they can't actually afford easily, they put on a disguise to make people change the feeling of them, even throw away their smiles.
I'm also a teenager, i feel it, i'm kind of being changed by this city, i sometimes feel my passion fade away, the smile went away with it. I don't want to be a fashion zombie in this bustling city......
