Free writing: At the first sight

     "Alright! Alright! I'll be there in 10 minutes!" Jason was on his phone, and his friends Messi was calling him to go to the cafe for some emergency "man talk" about  Messi's wife. There was a big crying coming from the baby's room. "No ! Way! I forgot Gabriel!" Jason's wife was not at home today, and he has to take care of their baby Gabriel. "Woof! Woof!'' It is Cliff their dog barking and hurried into the room. Cliff is a very loyal dog, he is so big that he looks like a wolf. And he loves the baby so much that he doesn't allow any stranger go near Gabriel when he's with the her. Jason went into the room and saw Cliff playing with Gabriel, and the crying baby was soothed. An idea has came up to his mind, "Cliff!" he clapped his hands, gesturing Cliff to come over. Cliff came over wagging his tail, he seems to be proud of himself comforting Gabriel. "Cliff! Daddy needs to go out for a while"" Woof!" Jason patted on Cliff's head and continues" Just take care of Gabriel for an hour okay? I trust you buddy!" "Woof!!" Cliff assured him with a loud bark. "Gabriel, please be a good girl. Daddy will be back very soon!" And Jason went out and went to his friend.
     An hour later, Jason was back. "Hey Cliff! I'm back!" There was not a single sound. "Cliff? Cliff?"
he started to get nervous. Jason ran upstairs to Gabriel's room, it was empty. "Cliff? Cliff?" Jason then ran to the yard, and he saw a terrible scene. Cliff was at the yard where Jason and his wife spared for his large body to play around. Cliff's was full of blood, sitting still on the ground and staring at Jason with a innocent sight. "What the hell?" Jason was full with anger, he thought of the worst thing. "Where is Gabriel?" He yelled at Cliff. Cliff tried to approach to Jason's leg. "Get away from me you damn creature!" Jason kicked away Cliff furiously, and he the anger rose up to his head. He couldn't think of how to tell his wife, and how terrible it is to lose Gabriel. Cliff tried again to bite the bottom of Jason's trousers. "What do you think you are doing? Begging for my forgiveness?" Jason gave a big slap on Cliff's mouth, and Cliff whimpered.
     Walking straightly to the house, Jason took a big stick and he decided to punish Cliff for his foul deed. "Hey Cliff!" Cliff ran to Jason at the moment he heard Jason called his name. But the treat he got wasn't a pat on the head but a hard hit by the stick. "Now you know how painful I am right now?" Jason hit on Cliff again, but Cliff didn't run away. Instead, he walked toward Jason, and tried to bite his trousers again. That action pissed Jason off, he worried about himself getting into trouble, he was desperate of losing Gabriel. The most important is that he didn't know how to tell his wife about this. He was blinded by the anger, he hit Cliff hard at the once again, Cliff did nothing, and that hit was so hard that he could hardly stand. Jason hit him once again, there was  blood coming out from the wound of Cliff. He whimpered and trying to run away. But Jason was in insanity, he couldn't stop it. He chased Cliff around the yard, and Cliff was not going to fight back. Cliff was out of breath and he could only lie on the ground and suffered from Jason. "What are you doing? Stop it right now!". A neighbor of Jason shouted at him with panic. He grabbed Jason's hand and tried to stop Jason from beating Cliff. "You have no idea what happened to you? Stop it right now! Please!" the neighbor kneeled down and checked Cliff's wound, his body was full of injuries. Cliff seemed to stop breathing. "He's eaten Gabriel! He ate my girl! What do u think I'm doing?" Jason pushed away his neighbor angrily. "No! He didn't!" the neighbor yelled. All of a sudden, it was a big tsunami hit in the brain. Jason was sober and stunned by the word his neighbor just said. "Wha....what did you..you just said?" Jason's hands were shivering, and he looked at Cliff with tears. The neighbor grabbed Jason's arm and ran toward his house. "When you were out, there was a thief tried to break into your house and Cliff barked so loud and  I heard that. Cliff was a good boy, he bit the thief and I took Gabriel to my house in case that the thief got mad and hurt her." They ran into the  neighbor's house and Jason saw Gabriel laying safely on the couch. "Thank God!" Jason broke in to tears and embraced Gabriel.
Suddenly, he thought of Cliff, his innocent boy Cliff. It was his mistake to misunderstand and suspect Cliff was the one that hurt Gabriel. He put down Gabriel carefully, and ran back to his yard to check if Cliff is okay.
     There was nothing in the yard except the stick that Jason used to hit Cliff. "Cliff! Where are you? Daddy was wrong! Please forgive me! Let me take you to the vet!" Jason clapped his hands and kept shouting Cliff's name. But no matter how loud he yelled and how hard he clapped, Cliff was still missing.  It was getting dark, Jason could hardly see through the woods that he didn't went to search for Cliff. He decided to do it on the next day. So he brought Gabriel home and tramped back and forth thinking about how to tell his wife all that happened today.
     "Jason! Jason! We found him!" someone was knocking at the door,telling Jason this news. Jason ran downstairs and opened the door as soon as he heard the news.He couldn't sleep last night because his mind was full of Cliff, he was regretful. "Where is he？” Jason asked his neighbor worriedly. The neighbor sighed, and told him that they found Cliff in the woods in the early morning today. Jason burst into tears and he couldn't believe what he has heard. "No! No! Please! Tell me that you are lying!" he shook his head. “ You hit him too hard yesterday, and the vet said that it must because of too much coming from the wound." the neighbor said with sympathy and he continued, " Have you ever heard that when dogs know that they are dying, they will seek for a place to hide, so let their master won't feel sad for them and his master will only remember the happy times with them. How considering!" the neighbor lamented. Jason couldn't say anything, he tried to remember the time that he and Cliff played in the park, they met his wife, he took good care of the house. "The police said that the blood in  Cliff's mouth was the thief's, they will get him very soon." the neighbor and Jason was standing at the place where Cliff laid on the ground. "I'm sorry! I'm really sorry！Cliff, please forgive me! I should have trusted you, I should have go with you. I should....." Jason broke out in tears, he sat beside Cliff's body. "Buddy, thank you so much, Daddy is so sorry, and Gabriel...I will protect Gabriel in the future. That's also what you would like to do right buddy? Be a happy angel in the heaven, my brave boy......"

Final: the best place

                                                                       My favorite Place

        The best view I have in my memory is the NanLiao seashore in Hsinchu, my hometown. The sunset, the coastline, the warm breeze, I recall them whenever I miss my home.

        “Ring ring.”, people riding bicycle along the seashore. As I rode the bicycle, I could feel the warm and tender touch of the breeze. When I closed my eyes, I could hear the soft whispering of the wind through my ears. The calmness made me forget about what I was doing, it made me forget about the exhausted feeling of riding the bike. The goal of my ride through the coastline is always the seashore at the end of the road of the bike road.    

        When I sit along the seashore, I feel calm and peaceful. It’s like the wave is washing away all the bad thoughts in my mind. Staring at the shimmering ocean, I see the cosmic world. The ocean glitters under the sunshine as if someone has thrown the diamonds into the sea. It was crystal blue, it is the vastness of the ocean that makes me so comforted. Birds flew over the sky, I wonder where they are heading. I hope my dreams were carried by them, to the unknown future, held the dream high but successful.  The ebbing of the waves seems to take away all the worries, and the sunshine will give you the new strength to live again, I always feel like I am transforming under the sunshine. There are laughter of children together with the whisper of the wind. It reminds me of childhood, in innocent time. Where there are no worries at all. It is the peaceful moment I love.

     The best view of Nanliao is the sunset. The sun hanging on the sky was like a orange yolk of the egg. In a strong status, feels like it is the most dominant thing in the sky. But it shines so gently that you want to approach it, the calmness that it gives me. It makes me think of the peachy face of the baby. At the evening, it seems like some naughty angels in the sky has put the needle on the sun. The orange color sprayed all over the sky and dyed the clouds into an orange carpet. So magical, I never get tired of watching it. The angel finished its trick and picked up the diamond that they dropped in the ocean, they hung it on the sky, the moon, the twinkling stars, and the cool breeze. Along the seashore, there are couples walking, chatting, so lovely. They are the good view, my wish of the future. Things are so differently than they were in the day time. But the calmness of the seashore never changes.The sea is clam to night, the tide is fair, the star is shining so bright. I love the clear mind that the ocean gives me, and the new life the seashore gives me. I love the whispering of the wind, the naughty angels in the sky. The best place where I think it is a sweet wasting of time.

The most dilemmatic moment I have faced (ver.2)

     I have always been an absent-minded person. Whenever people warn me about something that i need to be careful of, I always ignore it. The tragedy came one time, and i could never forget it, the most dilemmatic  moment i have faced.
     That day, i carried my cellphone to the toilet as usual, it's a new one, and I bring it everywhere I go.
My mom always warns me of not putting the cellphone in the pocket, it might fall out; however i never listen to her. I went into the toilet, do the "initial steps" in the bathroom. Just about the moment i was going to squat down. And i was thinking in my mind: "oh! My cellphone is in my pocket!" , the tragedy happened. I heard the sound of splash beneath me. I wasn't that panic at the moment because i dropped the money in the toilet for a couple times, it was no big deal to me. But when i looked down, and felt the pocket lightened, I knew I'm in trouble. I started screaming. Oh my god! It's my cellphone sinking! It's new! It's not waterproof! I need to save it! Here comes the dilemma, the water was kind of dirty, although i haven't done the "toilet action". What if the person went into this toilet was doing the "big deal", what if she had a diarrhea? God, I can't stop imagining how dirty is the toilet. But that is my cellphone inside. The more time i spend in thinking about picking it up or not, the fewer chances will it  be still usable.
     I've made up my mind, i closed my eyes, and put my hand into the cold water. My hands were shaking, trying to reach my cellphone. I can feel the cool and wet touching of the water, that feeling went through my finger tip to my wrist. How can the toilet be so deep? As i reached my cellphone, i tried to stress my fingers to grab it, but it slipped. Almost all of the swear words came into my mind, I condemned myself of doing this stupid thing. I tried again, holding it tight in my hand.
     The screen was black, i think it has shut down because of the water. I walked to the faucet, wondering if i should wash my hand, and also wash my cellphone. It's will be wet again! But it's dirty! "Nah!Screw it! It's wet already and it will work if it's not broken, I'm going to wash it anyway!" That is what i was thinking. So i washed it and i washed my hands, totally forgot the main purpose that caused this tragedy. I guess my urine has evaporated when the cellphone dropped.
 I went out of the bathroom, and saw my friends playing with their cellphone, and told me "Hey! I heard someone screaming in the toilet, did you hear that?" "Um, yes...?" I showed them my cellphone after taking a nice shower, and they all started laughing at me, asking if I'm going to call my mom with it. What a beautiful day with my awesome friends!
     My cellphone, of course, is destined to be a sleeping beauty for the rest of it's life. And I will never ever bring a cellphone with me into the bathroom again, since this experience is so remarkable. And I would never say that I've made the right decision in the dilemma, none of them are good!

description ver2 : If i can video down every moment

Meiti Riverside Park is probably the most beautiful place I went near Soochow University. It's near the Miramar mall. We went there in almost  the evening. We were sitting on the soft green grass, staring at the tranquil river. My friend and I were having a casual chat. Neither of us was looking at each other. As we talk, I can smell the refreshing fragrance of the grass carried by the gentle breeze, not a strong wind. The warm breeze was like the soft fondle of the mother earth.The feeling went through my hair;I enjoy the touch and I enjoyed the smell.

  "Ring ring!" the sound of the bicycle passed by. Little kids with their helmet, moving their legs in a very fast speed (as they thought they were) I could hear the crackle of the wheels rotating on the road. They want to catch up with the adults in front of them. “Too eager for growing up" I thought in my mind." "Hey! Wait! Ride slowly!" The worried parents behind the kids were shouting at them. Maybe that's exactly how parents are, they are always watching at the rear of the children, not expecting them to turn back because they have their dream to pursue. You just have to let them go. "Ring ring!" This time is the special bike that was designed for two people to ride together. There was an old couple riding the bike. They don't have much expression on their faces, but I admired their peaceful atmosphere. Seeing lots of young couple breaking up, I wonder how they maintain their sweet taste of life for such a long time.

  Staring at the beautiful river, it was amazingly attractive. The golden orange sunshine reflected on the surface of the river, it shimmered beneath the sunset. It's not yet the time that the night falls, but who has thrown the stars into the water? I supposed that some magical power hangs those stars on the sky after the sun goes down. The sunset! The sun! Oh the most remarkable one in the Meiti riverside park. At first it was like a fresh egg yolk, so orange, so plump. After a while, as if the mischief night angel has put a needle on it. The orange blasted out with a mixture of rose-pink, and dyed the whole sky. The round circle we saw earlier ago was vanishing. Suddenly, a splash of the water distracted me from the beautiful sunset. It was a fish jumping out of the water I guess. So energetic it was, acting in a way to inform the night to come and call for the magic power to hang up the twinkling stars in the water to the sky.

  The beautiful place, Meiti, I wonder what it is like in the other times of the day. I'm willing to spend my day, staring at the wonderful scene. It would be a worthwhile waste.

Exemplification: Animal testing should be reduced

      In nowadays, we human are intelligent enough to change the world. We are confident that we are the most powerful animal on the earth and we can take control of every living thing. And for our own good, our health problems, and the products using on us. We started to use the animals that are not being able to defense human as experimental animals. Animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products.Many of these experiments cause pain to the animals involved or reduce their quality of life in other ways. It should be reduced in some way.


     One reason is that animals suffered a lot from the experiments. Many animals are used as the experimental animals such as rabbits, and mice. Before the medicine is released to the market, the lab will try the medicine on the rabbit, by dripping the medicine into the rabbit's eyes and see the reactions. For our safety of using the medicine and the pharmacy industry to earn money, we didn't even care about how the animals suffered. What really matters to the company is that if the medicine is okay to be used on human, and they only want to see the results of the testing on the animals are positive or not. It is not moral of us to do that.

     There is also a reason that the action should be stopped is that the benefits to human beings are not proven. Human beings are unlike other animals that we take test on. If we say that we are at a different level than the other animals, then why do we think that it's appropriate to apply the products that only took experiment on animals that are different from us? Maybe there are no side effects on the animal, but we can not assure that there's no side effect on human being because the experiment hasn't been taken on human. Therefore the benefit to human are not proven.


     Not all scientists are convinced that the tests on animals are useful and valid. Animal has not been as critical to the advancement of medicine as is typically claimed by proponents of animals experiments. Moreover a great deal of animal experiments have been misleading and resulted in either withholding off drugs, sometimes for years that were subsequently found to be highly beneficial to human. Although the effects are harmless to animals but it caused human suffering and death. Therefore we can see that it remains a big concern of whether the testing is necessary.

For the love of the earth, for our morality and conscience. We should think of another way to replace testing on animals. So smart as we are, we will definitely figure out a better way for both of the sides to make the world better.
